Okay, here it goes. My first Blog posting. Please give feedback if you would like.
The purpose of this blog is to give my thoughts on the news of the day (government, so called politics, economics, or anything close to that), and write my thoughts of what should happen based on principles and the constitution, compared to what Washington will do. Most of us know that the two are not always the same when it comes to DC.
So let's get some things out in the open.
I am a Fiscal Conservative and a Social Libertarian. Which means that I want minimal government intrusion into my life, both financially and personally. It all comes down to freedom. The freedom to choose our investments, choose how our money is spent, choose if we want health care or not, choose if we want to go into debt or pay cash, and the list goes on. I am especially going to write about economic issues, and how the government affects our economy through legislation, executive orders, and rhetoric. I will give some history on our economy, and how we got here. I will go into some of the legislation and court decisions that have changed the direction of our nation frm one of liberties to one of socialism. It's not pretty. I am going to hold everyone responsible, regardless of party affiliation, because only the Constitution matters. Staying true to that document is vital to the survival of this nation. America is no longer an experiment. Our ideas of freedom are the base of how new nations are formed.
I will not, however, go into social issues in future postings of this blog. They are too volatile, and I just don't want to deal with it. Everyone can believe what they want to believe, which is the beauty of this country. The government shouldn't tell you what to believe, oh wait, isn't that why the pilgrims left England in the first place?
Story ideas are always welcome, because I love doing the research, and I love being educated on new topics. I hope to post once a week, but may do more as news warrants and time permits.
I think that about covers it. Again, please post any comments you may have. They are always welcome.
Thanks,
J
